Tres elaborados en Málaga y otros tres elaborados en Ávila
250 jueces han seleccionado los mejores quesos entre las más de 2.700 referencias procedentes de todo el mundo que se han presentado en esta edición.
La quesería abulense “Elvira García” y las queserías malagueñas “El Pastor del Valle” y “Montes de Málaga” han obtenido medallas en el Certamen Internacional World Cheese Awards, celebrado 26 de Noviembre en Birminghan (Gran Bretaña), el cual es considerado como el concurso internacional más importante de quesos.
Cada año, alrededor de 250 jueces seleccionan las mejores referencias queseras de diferentes variedades y distintos países. La competición ha reunido en esta edición 2.727 quesos procedentes de todo el mundo.
La quesería artesanal Elvira García de El Barraco (Ávila) ha logrado Medalla de oro con el queso Luna Nueva, Medalla de Plata con el queso Musgo Lavado con y Medalla de Bronce con el queso Canto lavado.
Se trata del segundo reconocimiento por este prestigioso concurso para esta joven quesería fundada en 2013. En la edición de los World Cheese Awards de 2014 su queso Musgo de Capra consiguió la medalla de bronce.
La quesería artesanal El Pastor del Valle, afincada en Alhaurín El Grande (Málaga), ha obtenido dos medallas de bronce con sus quesos Curado de Cabra Envuelto en Romero y Curado de Leche Cruda. Esta quesería también obtuvo un reconocimiento en la edición anterior, con su queso Semicurado de cabra.
Ambas queserías tienen ganadería propia de raza caprina malagueña y sus animales se encuentran inscritos en el libro genealógico de la raza.
Y la Agrupación de Ganaderos Montes de Málaga, ubicada en Colmenar adquiere su primer galardón en este certamen: Medalla de Bronce con su Queso Curado Montes de Málaga. Un merecido premio a la gran trayectoria de esta cooperativa que cuenta con unos 170 socios activos, todos productores de leche de cabra, en su gran mayoría de raza malagueña, repartidos por la provincia de Málaga, y cuyo volumen de leche recogido anualmente ronda los 9 millones de litros.

After I initially left a comment I seem to have clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now every time a comment is added I recieve 4 emails with the exact same comment. Is there an easy method you can remove me from that service? Kudos!
